HAWK BANDS

Membership in one of the bands is a full year elective activity and is to be considered a privilege.  Students must be academically eligible and exhibit good behavior in all classes to participate in contests, concerts, as well as other events.  All directors are committed to providing a positive learning environment for your child.  We hold each student to high expectations of performance, behavior, positive attitude, and work ethic.  If your child puts forth their best effort, he or she will be successful.  The de Zavala Band is a growing program, and together we will add to and build upon its past achievements.

BEGINNER BAND

The Beginner Band is designed to help 6th grade students become performers on their chosen instrument and continue their music education into the next grade level.  This group is divided into instrument specific classes in order to give more individualized instruction.  The group will be combined for the Winter and Spring Concert, as well as a contest in the spring.
